I'm no computer genius and the best I can do is googling questions. When I play Spore for extended periods of time it does this annoying strobing effect and freezes at the same time so I have to restart it. I have Vista 64 bit shit and spore works fine for a while too. Then, BAM, the shit hits the fan. Does anybody know a solution?

Stobing effect? Hmmmm, sounds like you GPU is overheating. Download the program SpeedFan, and run it while you are playing. When this happens, record what the temperatures are immediately, then post it here. Also, post a Dxdiag. http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

It ran fine on my other computer. The one I don't have any more. It was an XP. The problems arose when I got Vista.

Hey guys, how about you actually try to help out Knowwon rather than just flame Vista?

Okay this is going to sound really noobish.
I installed the update and now the game works fine! ::))))))
I'm going to buy the Galactic Adventures now! I can't wait. People make mario cart and duck hunt as adventures! And a billion other things. I have a question. Does the Galactic Adventures replace the normal crappy missions where you'd just go and scan things and kill things?

Also, it is likely that there was a compatibility issue with Spore + Vista, and the most recent patch fixed it.
I'll admit, I wasn't a big fan of Vista. But I hate it when people randomly bash on Vista for no reason, blaming everything on it rather than their own mistakes.
