Just to clear up why I'm posting all these small essays. Since recently I have been thinking of becoming a writer or journalist I have recently taken to writing stories or brief descriptions of anything that crosses my mind. I have a whole list of stuff to write about already and all this is an effort to better myself at writing. The stuff I post up on this forum is some of the things I know you guys will be somewhat interested in hearing. I know the forums are a bit dull and slow, not many threads get made every day so I hope you appreciate being able to log in and have something to read and respond to. Since part of the exercise is to say things clearly the first time, I won't be correcting spelling mistakes or clearing up blabber. I will be trying to get it right the first time, so if a sentence gets tangled and makes no sense, don't waste your time re-reading it, because chances are it requires revision that I won't give. These are quick write exercises. They are the writers equivalent to push-ups in the military. I've been writing about 10 a day for the past two weeks, some are pages long and others are just a simple paragraph and I figured that's way too much to post on these forums. Anyway, enjoi!

I was driving to Panda Express for lunch at around 12. That was normal lunch time for at least
250, 000 people so the roads were packed. As you can imagine I saw stupid drivers of every sort. I’ve been driving for almost a year now so I’ve developed a very unique set of precautions. A few examples of my precautions: When I approach a red stop light on the right lane I get as far to the left as possible while staying in the lane in order to give the retards who want to make a right turn the room to squeeze by me. I’ve seen an asshole trade paint with another car trying to pass in order to make a right hand turn. Another habit I’ve developed after I’ve seen some ass run a red light and pass right in front of me is to slow down before intersections in an effort to see if there is anyone who is going to pass through a red light.

Anyway, on the way to panda express I had to pass a mall and a shopping center, so I had to watch out for women drivers drifting into my lane. I’m not trying to be mean, it did happen. Drivers were drifting into my lane and they were women in SUV’s and trucks with a bluetooth headset and chewing gum in their mouth. I saw people do wide U-turns then immediately swerve back into the farthest left lane like madmen. I saw people roll through stop signs at 25 miles an hour. I saw bad drivers roll their monster truck into a compact parking spot leaving 2 inches to open doors. One dude climbed out of his sunroof.

The thing that really pissed me off, and the reason I made this thread in the first place was to get your opinion of this one asshole. I was heading back to college with the food and I happen to look in my rear-view mirror. In it, I see a car approaching FAST LIKE. I look at my speedometer and I was going 50 MPH. This asshole shot right past me, then slammed on her breaks, shot across my lane, cutting me off, then got into the same left hand turn lane I did. We were both waiting at the light and I was just sitting there wondering if she realized the sheer pointlessness and stupidly dangerousness of what she had just done. I was looking at her in her own mirror and she saw me looking and gave me the bitchy New York, “What Are You Staring At?” look. I actually expected her to have that reaction so it didn’t bug me, funny thing however, when I memorized her license plate, there was a frame around it that said, “Hang Up! You are driving!” Apparently she doesn’t realize its possible to crash while NOT talking on the cell phone.

People like to pretend that being impatient, dangerous and unpredictable while driving will get them to their destination faster, when in reality the stop light system syncs us all up. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone zoom past me, weaving in and out of different lanes only to come to a stop right in front of me at a red light awkwardly waiting for it to turn green, thinking he's made more progress then the rest of us.

Actually I read it, and I love it. I live in CA, and talking on the cell phone while driving has been outlawed. Nobody EVER pays attention to it, and I mean NOBODY. And I really hate it how practically all the chicks who can afford a car at my high school get bigass trucks and suck at driving.

I meant women that have the need to put on make up at red lights, driving over the car in front of them when the vision out of the corner of their eyes fool them into thinking there is a green light, and reaching for shit behind their seat while driving 70 MPH or turning their head completely in order to stare at the passenger while they are talking.

Damn it I wanted to delete that but you responded to it too quick. No, not stupid women, stupid drivers period. A man behind the wheel of a massive truck is still ridiculous. I'm not saying that to be green. I'm saying that just because a man can pump 100 pounds of iron does not mean he deserves to be in control of a 7000 pound beast.
